What is Hyper Pigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is a common skin disorder resulting in dark spots or patches on the face or body that can affect all skin tones and colors. Although these dark spots do not usually pose a health risk, they can add up to 10 years onto the perceived age of an individual.

Causes:
The most common cause of dark spots is excess sun exposure. Melasma and chloasma are pigmentation disorders most prominent in women experiencing hormonal changes or during pregnancy. Illness, medication, inflammation and skin injuries including acne can also cause differing degrees of excess pigmentation.

What can you do about it?
GM Collin has formulated PhytoWhite Dark Spot Serum & Cream, two highly effective treatments for hyperpigmentation. Stay tuned for our next post to find out more about this amazing new product.
